Maintenance Technician – Roles & Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and electrical/mechanical systems.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify faults, wear, and potential breakdowns.
Conduct routine servicing, lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn parts.
Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts, and repairs.
Coordinate with production/operations teams to schedule maintenance without affecting production.
Ensure safety procedures and maintenance standards are followed during all repair activities.
Maintain and monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance equipment.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.
Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Assist senior engineers/supervisors with maintenance planning and inspections.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and work area.
