Field Technician / Senior Field Technician – Elevator Installation

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Technician / Senior Field Technician with handson experience in elevator installation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2

years of relevant experience in elevator installation, along with a strong understanding of

site execution, equipment installation, testing, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

 Carry out elevator installation activities at project sites as per approved drawings,

specifications, and company standards.

 Install elevator components including guide rails, machines, ropes, doors, cabin,

counterweight, brackets, and other associated equipment.

 Perform mechanical and electrical installation work related to elevators.

 Ensure proper alignment, leveling, fitting, and assembly of elevator components.

 Conduct installation checks, testing, commissioning support, and troubleshooting.

 Coordinate with site supervisors, project engineers, contractors, and other teams to

ensure timely completion of installation activities.

 Follow site safety procedures, company guidelines, and applicable elevator safety

standards.

 Identify installation-related issues and resolve them efficiently at the site.

 Maintain proper documentation and installation reports.

 Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the installation process.

 Guide and support junior technicians/helpers where required.

 Travel to different project sites within Chennai and nearby locations as per business

requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in elevator installation – Mandatory.

 ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related technical trade

preferred.

 Good knowledge of elevator installation processes and components.

 Ability to read and understand technical drawings/manuals.

 Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Good communication and coordination skills.

 Ability to work at heights and in a site-based environment.

 Safety-conscious and disciplined approach to work.

For Senior Field Technician

 Should be capable of independently handling elevator installation activities at project

sites.

 Experience in leading or guiding a small team of technicians/helpers will be an

advantage.

 Should be able to troubleshoot installation and technical issues with minimal

supervision.

 Ability to coordinate with project/site teams and ensure timely execution

• It is a Full Time Technician job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
