About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable On-field Technician to support our Smart Digital Lockers operations across multiple venues. The role involves daily site visits, addressing technical and operational issues, coordinating with venue staff, and ensuring smooth functioning of the lockers.
Key Responsibilities
§ Travel to multiple customer/venue sites daily to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain smart digital locker systems.
§ Diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, hardware, and basic electronics.
§ Provide on-site technical support and ensure lockers are operational with minimal downtime.
§ Coordinate with venue staff for access, reporting issues, and scheduling visits.
§ Maintain service logs and update issue-resolution status in the company system.
§ Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or support team.
§ Supervise digital locker installation at host locations (malls, movie theatres, stores, corporate campuses, temples etc.).
§ Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and prepare for installations.
§ Coordinate with electricians, branding teams, and hardware vendors for timely setup.
§ Ensure readiness of power, internet connectivity, and site permissions prior to installation.
§ Perform post-installation functional tests and quality checks.
§ Ensure compliance with company safety and operational guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
§ 1 to 3 years of field service experience in any of the following sectors:
o WiFi/Internet/Telecom Service Providers
o DTH Service Providers
o Consumer Electronics (TV, Washing Machines, Fridges, Water Purifiers, etc.)
§ Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in electronics/hardware.
§ Ability to travel to multiple sites daily.
§ Good interpersonal skills for coordinating with venue staff and customers.
§ Basic communication skills in English.
§ Fluency in Tamil (mandatory).
§ Telugu speaking skills (added advantage).
§ Must be based in Chennai
§ Must own a two-wheeler with a valid license and be comfortable traveling across the city
§ Willingness to travel outside Chennai for short durations as project demands
§ Flexible to work extended hours when required during installations or urgent repairs

§ Accuracy and timeliness of documentation
§ Average turnaround time for issue resolution
§ Number of sites successfully maintained with minimal downtime
