Job Summary

The Junior Engineer will be responsible for supporting daily production activities, machine operations, preventive maintenance, product identification and tagging, quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the bearing manufacturing facility. The role requires close coordination with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth factory operations and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machines used in bearing production.

• Ensure production targets are achieved as per daily production plans.

• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities immediately.

• Maintain production records, machine logs, and shift reports.

• Support production changeovers and setup activities.

### Machine Maintenance

• Perform routine preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.

• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.

• Ensure proper lubrication and upkeep of machinery and equipment.

• Support breakdown analysis and corrective actions.

### Product Identification & Tagging

• Ensure accurate tagging, labeling, and traceability of finished and semi-finished products.

• Verify batch numbers, product codes, and inspection status before dispatch.

• Maintain proper documentation for inventory tracking and quality compliance.

### Quality & Process Compliance

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

• Conduct basic in-process quality checks.

• Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspections and corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality requirements.

• Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues.

### Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all factory safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

• Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.

• Maintain 5S standards in the assigned work area.

• Support safety audits and compliance activities.

### Continuous Improvement

• Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

• Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and cost-saving initiatives.

## Required Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply.

## Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine operations.

• Understanding of bearings, machining, assembly, and industrial equipment.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.

• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Gauges.

• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, ERP systems preferred).
