We are seeking a skilled and responsible Technician for Smart Meter Installation projects. The Technician will lead a field team, ensure error-free installation, maintain stock accountability, and act as the primary point of contact for client and quality assurance teams.
Supervise and manage a team of Support Technicians (typically 4–5 members) on the field.
Conduct on-site smart meter installations, including removal of old meters and accurate connection of new meters.
Train and guide support technicians on correct installation procedures and safety protocols.
Ensure proper consumer indexing and verification of address and meter details.
Capture required live photos with timestamp, date, and location as per QC protocols.
Manage and track meter stock (new and old) and ensure daily reporting to project coordinator.
Handle basic client communication at the site level and resolve operational issues.
Maintain daily check-in/check-out logs with live image and location.
Ensure zero installation errors and pass all quality audits.
ITI/Diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical/Technical field.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in electrical work; smart meter installation experience preferred.
Ability to lead and manage field teams effectively.
Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and troubleshooting.
Smartphone handling for app-based reporting and GPS tagging.
Good communication skills in Hindi or local language; basic English preferred.
Willingness to travel locally and work in field conditions (9+ hours/day).
Adherence to safety protocols – wearing PPE kits (helmet, gloves, jacket, shoes, etc.).
Responsible for tools and safety kit issued – any damage/loss will be charged as per company policy.
Should maintain professional behavior and discipline while interacting with customers.
