Job Title: Area Technician – Home Appliances (Installation / Demo & Service)

Job Summary:

The Area Technician will be responsible for performing installation, demonstration, preventive maintenance, and repair of home appliances—such as washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, water purifiers, and other consumer appliances—within the assigned territory. The role focuses on delivering timely, high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation and product demonstrations at customer premises as per company guidelines and standard procedures.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical issues in various home appliances efficiently and accurately.

• Coordinate with the Area Service Manager and Call Centre team for job assignments, updates, and escalations.

• Provide customers with essential product usage guidance, maintenance tips, and operational best practices.

• Ensure proper documentation, service reporting, and follow-up for completed jobs.

• Maintain professional conduct and represent the company with a high level of customer service.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical (Polytechnic).

• Experience: 1–20 years of field service experience in installation, servicing, and maintenance of home appliances (preferably within the consumer electronics or appliances industry).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of installation, servicing, and repair of household appliances.

• Ability to identify faults using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.

• Understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards.

• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

• Professional attitude, punctuality, and discipline.

• Flexibility to travel within the assigned area as required.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: 09:30 AM – 06:30 PM

• Salary: ₹21,000 (Fixed, In-Hand)

• Conveyance: ₹3 per KM

• Incentives: ₹3,000 – ₹9,000 per month
