VFD Repair Technician

Job Responsibilities:

● Diagnose and repair VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) faults and failures.

● Troubleshoot VFD power, control, input/output, and communication circuits.

● Identify faulty components such as IGBTs, capacitors, relays, diodes, resistors, and control boards.

● Perform PCB-level inspection, testing, and component replacement.

● Configure and program VFD parameters according to machine requirements.

● Handle VFD installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.

● Work with different VFD brands such as INVT, Emotron, Delta, ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.

● Troubleshoot motor-related issues, including overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, and phase faults.

● Use multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other electronic testing equipment.

● Maintain repair records and prepare service reports.

● Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding VFD operation and maintenance.

● Follow electrical safety procedures during testing and repair.

Required Skills:

● Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.

● Good understanding of VFD working principles and parameter settings.

● Experience in PCB troubleshooting and component-level repair.

● Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.

● Basic knowledge of motors, control panels, sensors, and industrial automation.

● Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience:

● ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related field preferred.

● Experience in VFD repair and industrial electrical troubleshooting is preferred.

● Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

• It is a Full Time Technician job for candidates with 0 - 6+ years Experience.
