CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CCTV Technician with 3+ years of hands-on experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of CCTV surveillance systems. The candidate should have good knowledge of IP and analog CCTV systems, networking, DVR/NVR configuration, and surveillance equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.

Handle installation of IP, Analog, Dome, Bullet, PTZ and other CCTV cameras.

Configure and troubleshoot DVR, NVR, XVR and CCTV monitoring systems.

Perform camera focusing, positioning, cabling, and connectivity checks.

Troubleshoot issues related to camera display, recording, connectivity, power supply, and storage.

Configure CCTV systems for remote/mobile viewing.

Perform basic networking tasks including IP addressing, LAN, switches, routers, and network connectivity.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of CCTV systems.

Identify and replace faulty cameras, cables, connectors, power supplies, SMPS, hard disks, and other components.

Maintain CCTV system records, maintenance reports, and service logs.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.

Ensure proper functioning of CCTV systems across all assigned locations.

Respond to technical complaints and resolve issues within the required timeframe.

Follow safety procedures while working with electrical equipment, cables, ladders, and other tools.

Required Skills

Minimum 3+ years of experience as a CCTV Technician.

Strong knowledge of IP and Analog CCTV systems.

Hands-on experience with DVR/NVR/XVR installation and configuration.

Knowledge of CCTV networking and IP configuration.

Knowledge of LAN, switches, routers, RJ45 connectors, UTP cables, and crimping.

Ability to troubleshoot CCTV hardware and software issues.

Knowledge of CCTV remote monitoring and mobile applications.

Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and power supply systems.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple sites/tasks.
