CCTV Technician

A CCTV technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots closed-circuit television systems. They are responsible for designing, configuring, and installing both analog and digital systems, including cameras, recording devices, and networking equipment. Additionally, they may perform regular maintenance, provide technical support to users, and troubleshoot any issues with the system, making repairs or upgrades. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Mounting and positioning CCTV cameras, running cables, connecting power sources, and configuring cameras. 

• Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining CCTV equipment, cleaning and adjusting cameras, and replacing faulty components. 

• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with the system. 

• System Configuration: Setting up and configuring CCTV systems for optimal performance. 

• Technical Support: Providing guidance and support to users on how to utilize the system effectively. 

• Design and Specification: Developing plans for CCTV systems and selecting appropriate equipment. 

• Repair and Replacement: Repairing or replacing faulty components to ensure system functionality. 

• Testing: Conducting tests to verify that the system is functioning correctly. 

• Paperwork: Completing necessary paperwork and service sheets. 

• Safety: Maintaining health and safety standards for company work and equipment.
