Car Technician

A Car Alignment Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and correcting vehicle wheel alignment issues to ensure safe handling, proper tire wear, and optimal vehicle performance. The technician uses computerized alignment equipment and performs suspension and steering system inspections and repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform wheel alignment services on passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles.

• Inspect steering, suspension, and braking components for wear or damage.

• Diagnose alignment-related problems such as uneven tire wear, vehicle pulling, or steering issues.

• Operate computerized wheel alignment and balancing equipment.

• Adjust camber, caster, toe, and thrust angles according to manufacturer specifications.

• Conduct tire rotation, wheel balancing, and tire-related services.

• Test-drive vehicles when necessary to verify alignment corrections.

• Recommend repairs or replacements for worn suspension and steering components.

• Maintain service records and inspection reports.

• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors and customers.
