Car mechanic

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance of vehicles.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.

• Use diagnostic scanners and other testing equipment to identify problems.

• Repair and replace faulty engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and electrical components.

• Perform engine oil, filter, coolant, brake fluid, and other fluid replacements.

• Inspect and repair braking, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.

• Diagnose and service vehicle air-conditioning systems.

• Conduct battery, alternator, starter, and wiring checks.

• Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

• Carry out road tests and final quality checks after repairs.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.

• Follow manufacturer service procedures and workshop safety standards.

• Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and properly maintained.

• Coordinate with service advisors and communicate technical issues clearly.

• Ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently and to required quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Car Mechanic preferred.

• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.

• Experience with OBD/diagnostic scanning tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot and identify vehicle faults.

• Knowledge of petrol and diesel vehicles.

• Good understanding of brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, and engine systems.

• Ability to use automotive hand tools and workshop equipment safely.

• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• It is a Full Time Technician job for candidates with 0 - 3 years of experience.
