Key Responsibilities:
preparation of designs and modifications for new products, components, and systems, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
Utilize CAD software to independently create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of technical drawings and models for manufacturing.
Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and assembly, to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and reliable for production.
Generate comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings, material lists, and production instructions, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a design or drafting role, with at least 3 years in a lead position, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
Demonstrate proficiency in leading CAD software packages such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, forging, composite lay-up, additive manufacturing) and their impact on design and production.
Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in technical drawings and designs.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced production environment.
Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design details and instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the aviation, aerospace, or defense manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry-specific drafting standards and practices.
Extensive experience with complex part detailing and assembly drawings.
