Job Summary

The Preschool Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the preschool program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, staff, and families. This role supports curriculum implementation, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and family engagement while promoting high-quality early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

• Oversee daily preschool operations and classroom activities

• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum

• Ensure learning environments meet safety, licensing, and quality standards

• Monitor classroom management and student progress

Staff Support & Supervision

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training preschool staff

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to teachers

• Develop staff schedules and ensure proper classroom coverage

• Promote teamwork and professional development opportunities

Family & Community Engagement

• Serve as a primary point of contact for families

• Support enrollment, orientation, and parent communication

• Address parent concerns professionally and promptly

Compliance & Administration

• Maintain accurate student and program records

• Assist with budgeting, supply ordering, and resource management

• Support program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
