The TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher is responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to middle and secondary grade students (Classes 6–10). The teacher will create an engaging learning environment, promote critical thinking, and ensure effective curriculum delivery aligned with CBSE/ICSE/State Board guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for Classes 6–10.
Teach subjects including History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
Use interactive teaching methods, maps, activities, and digital tools to enhance learning.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Prepare students for examinations and improve answer-writing skills.
Organize discussions, debates, projects, and co-curricular activities related to SST.
Maintain academic records, attendance, and progress reports.
Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and academic improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics or related field.
B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
