Job Summary

We are seeking a disciplined, skilled, and inspiring Taekwondo Teacher to train students in the art and discipline of Taekwondo. The ideal candidate will promote physical fitness, self-defense skills, respect, and perseverance while fostering a safe and motivating training environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Taekwondo training sessions for students of various age groups and skill levels.

• Teach fundamental techniques, forms (poomsae), sparring, self-defense, and Taekwondo etiquette.

• Develop students’ strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.

• Ensure safety during practice and proper use of training equipment.

• Prepare students for belt grading, demonstrations, and competitions.

• Encourage discipline, respect, and sportsmanship in every session.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Maintain attendance records and progress reports.

• Collaborate with school staff for sports events, annual functions, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Black Belt certification (preferably 2nd Dan or higher) from a recognized Taekwondo federation.

• Proven experience teaching Taekwondo to children and/or adults.

• Strong knowledge of Taekwondo techniques, rules, and philosophy.

• Excellent communication and motivational skills.

• Ability to manage a class while ensuring discipline and safety.

• Physically fit and able to demonstrate techniques effectively.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience training students for state/national/international competitions.

• First aid certification.

• Passion for promoting martial arts as a means of character development.
