Pre Primary Teacher

Job Summary:

The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating young children (ages 3–6) by creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment. The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate learning activities that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a creative, play-based curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.

• Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.

• Organize and lead daily classroom activities including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.

• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.

• Manage classroom behavior positively and maintain discipline in a nurturing manner.

• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan events, celebrations, and special projects.

• Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization according to school policies.

• Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions as required.

• Ensure the emotional and physical well-being of every child in the classroom.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / Montessori Training or equivalent.

• Previous experience as a preschool or kindergarten teacher preferred.

• Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.

• Ability to plan and manage classroom activities effectively.
