Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related discipline (Master's degree preferred).

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.

• Cambridge IGCSE training or certification is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in secondary/high school Physics.

• Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum is essential.

• Experience preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations with a strong record of academic achievement.

• Experience in conducting practical laboratory sessions and managing science laboratories safely.

Knowledge

• Thorough understanding of the Cambridge IGCSE Physics syllabus, assessment objectives, and examination patterns.

• Strong subject knowledge in mechanics, electricity, waves, thermal physics, atomic physics, magnetism, and modern physics.

• Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered teaching methodologies.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and risk assessment.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Effective lesson planning, assessment, and reporting skills.

• Proficiency in using educational technology, learning management systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and digital teaching resources.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
