Instructional Designer - Digital Learning

Business Associate Roles and responsibilities The purpose of this role is to design engaging and interactive digital learning for KPMG UK. The learning solutions should be innovative, engaging and help learners retain and use what they've learnt in their daily roles and responsibilities. 1. Understand business problems and learner profiles to design a learning solution and its evaluation methodology 2. Design new or refresh existing digital learning programmes (elearning, animated videos, games) 3. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and onshore stakeholders to ensure that the learning design meets the learning objectives and key success criteria 4. Build effective relationships with on-shore and off-shore teams (other instructional designers, learning developers, graphics and video experts, project managers) to build visually engaging and interactive learning content 5. Project manage the learning design and development lifecycle from conception through to deployment and go-live. In the event of scope changes, risks, and issues, mitigate and provide clear directions to learning, graphics and media developers. 6. Ensure published content meets technical design and functional requirements 7. Review and/or update existing learning content as per post course evaluation 8. Ensure all learning projects are executed as per agreed team processes and methodologies Desired skills: 1. 4 to 7 years of experience in using a variety of techniques to develop engaging instructional content that also effectively address learner, performance and business gaps 2. Clear understanding of learning content design and development lifecycle (content handover, content analysis, high level and detailed content design, storyboard, media sources, build, quality assurance, deployment) 3. Working with subject matter experts and learning developers to build innovative learning solutions 4. Working on multiple projects concurrently 5. Evaluating impact of learning on performance and business goals 6. Analyze existing and emerging technologies to propose their use in an instructional environment. Core skills: 0. Experience in instructional design and content development with an understanding of learning strategy and adult learning principles 1. Learning programme and project management 2. SME and stakeholder relationship management 3. Excellent language (written and verbal) skills 4. Experience in using rapid authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline Behavioral / Team skills: 0. Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations 1. Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types, working hours and work environments and locations, strong time management skills 2.
