English Teacher

The English PRT Teacher is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to primary grade students (Grades I–V). The teacher will create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that develops reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for the English language.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.

• Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

• Teach grammar, vocabulary, phonics, comprehension, and creative writing.

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.

• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment.

• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.

• Organize classroom activities, reading programs, storytelling sessions, and literary events.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and behavior.

• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, school events, and extracurricular activities.

• Ensure discipline, safety, and the overall well-being of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English or a relevant discipline.

• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.

• CTET/TET qualification preferred (as per school/board requirements).

Experience

• 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary school preferred.

• Freshers with excellent communication skills may also apply.

• Strong knowledge of English grammar, phonics, and language development.
