Job Summary

The English Teacher at Sevalaya NGO is responsible for teaching English language and literature to students from diverse and underprivileged backgrounds. The role involves developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while fostering confidence, creativity, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English language and literature according to the prescribed curriculum

• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons

• Improve students’ communication skills, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation

• Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and activities

• Provide additional academic support to slow learners

• Encourage reading habits and spoken English practice

• Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning materials

• Participate in school activities, training programs, and meetings

• Support the organization’s values of service, discipline, and character-building

• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in English

• Candidate must have minimum 1 year of experience into Teaching
