Job description:

Wisdom Global School, Meerut is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and well-qualified Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – English to join our academic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, sound subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students through engaging and innovative teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective and engaging English lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.

• Teach English language, literature, grammar, writing, reading, and communication skills.

• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

• Monitor and evaluate students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.

• Encourage students to develop strong communication, critical-thinking, reading, and writing skills.

• Incorporate activity-based, experiential, and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.

• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold the school's academic and behavioural standards.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic activities.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and development.

• Participate actively in school events, assemblies, co-curricular activities, workshops, and staff meetings.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers and contribute to the school's overall academic and developmental objectives.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English from a recognized university.

• B.Ed. or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and teaching pedagogy.

• Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.

• Ability to use digital tools and technology effectively in teaching.

• A student-centric, positive, and creative approach to education.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of teaching experience in a reputed school.

• Experience teaching the CBSE curriculum will be an advantage.

• Candidates with experience in activity-based, experiential, and competency-based learning will be preferred.

• It is a Full Time Teacher / Tutor job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
