Job Title: Theatre and Dance Teacher

Job Summary:

The Theatre and Dance Teacher will design, plan, and deliver engaging lessons in theatre, drama, and dance to students of varying skill levels. The teacher will inspire creativity, develop performance techniques, and foster an appreciation for the performing arts through classroom instruction, rehearsals, and stage productions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Curriculum Development

• Plan and deliver lessons in theatre, acting, movement, choreography, and dance.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with institutional goals and standards.

• Teach various dance forms and theatre techniques).

• Incorporate both practical and theoretical components of performing arts.

• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Production & Events

• Direct and choreograph productions, performances, and showcases.

• Coordinate rehearsals and manage stage presentations.

• Collaborate with music, art, and technical staff for interdisciplinary productions.

Student Engagement & Mentorship

• Encourage students to explore creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through performing arts.

• Identify and mentor talented students for competitions, performances, and external programs.

• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Performing Arts, Theatre, Dance, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching theatre and/or dance (school, academy, or professional setting).

• Experience directing or choreographing stage productions.

Skills:

• Strong command of theatre and dance techniques.

• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Creativity, flexibility, and teamwork.
