The E-Commerce Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations that support online order fulfillment. This role ensures accurate inventory management, fast and efficient picking/packing processes, timely shipping, and smooth returns handling. The manager leads warehouse staff, optimizes workflows, and maintains high service levels to meet e-commerce performance standards.
Manage daily warehouse operations for e-commerce order processing, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped within required timelines (SLA compliance).
Oversee returns processing, restocking, and quality checks.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
Reduce stock discrepancies and implement inventory control best practices.
Improve product storage layout to enhance picking efficiency.
Supervise warehouse associates; handle hiring, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
Promote a productive and safe work environment.
Delegate tasks and monitor workflow to ensure productivity targets are met.
Optimize warehouse processes to reduce errors and increase speed.
Implement lean practices, barcode scanning, and automation tools where applicable.
Work with logistics and customer service to solve operational issues.
Coordinate with courier partners and transport teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Track shipment performance and resolve delivery delays or exceptions.
Ensure proper packaging standards to reduce damage during shipping.
Enforce safety regulations, equipment handling procedures, and warehouse policies.
Monitor equipment (scanners, packing tools, forklifts) to ensure proper maintenance.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or fulfillment management (e-commerce experience strongly preferred).
Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, SLAs, and last-mile logistics.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode systems, and inventory software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Experience with Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge of lean warehousing and process optimization.
Ability to analyze data and create performance reports.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
