Position: Senior Steward
Industry: Hospitality (Hotels, Restaurants, Cruise Lines, Catering Services)
Reports to: Executive Chef / Food & Beverage Manager
Primary Goal: Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and dining environment while leading stewarding staff.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
Oversee stewarding staff and assign daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Train, mentor, and onboard new stewards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Operational Duties
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
Inspect dishwashing, cleaning, and waste disposal processes.
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
Coordinate schedules to ensure coverage during peak hours.
Guest & Service Support
Assist in maintaining smooth food service operations.
Support chefs and service staff by ensuring equipment and utensils are clean and available.
Uphold high standards of hygiene to enhance guest satisfaction
