Steward – Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Service

   • Welcome and greet guests professionally.

   • Escort guests to their tables and assist with seating.

   • Provide attentive, courteous, and personalized service throughout the meal.

   • Respond promptly to guest requests and queries.

2. Fine-Dining Table Service

   • Set tables according to restaurant standards before service.

   • Ensure cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins, and table accessories are properly arranged.

   • Serve food and beverages professionally and at the correct time.

   • Follow proper service sequence and table-service etiquette.

   • Clear used plates, glasses, and cutlery efficiently without disturbing guests.

3. Menu Knowledge

   • Maintain good knowledge of the food and beverage menu.

   • Understand basic ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, and common allergens.

   • Explain menu items to guests when required.

   • Coordinate with the Captain/Chef for special requests and dietary requirements.

4. Order Taking & Coordination

   • Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the POS system where applicable.

   • Repeat orders to confirm accuracy.

   • Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, Captain, and service team.

   • Monitor order timing and immediately report delays or issues to the supervisor.

5. Restaurant Hygiene & Cleanliness

   • Maintain cleanliness of tables, chairs, service stations, and dining areas.

   • Ensure cutlery, crockery, and glassware are clean and properly polished.

   • Follow food-safety and hygiene procedures.

   • Report breakages, spills, maintenance issues, or safety hazards immediately. (Indeed)

6. Guest Satisfaction

   • Check discreetly whether guests are satisfied with food and service.

   • Handle basic complaints politely and escalate serious complaints to the Captain/Manager.

   • Maintain professionalism and discretion with VIP and high-profile guests.

7. Opening & Closing Duties

   • Complete mise-en-place before restaurant opening.

   • Refill water stations, condiments, napkins, and service items.

   • Assist with closing duties, cleaning, resetting tables, and preparing the restaurant for the next shift.

8. Professional Grooming

   • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming.

   • Wear a clean, properly pressed uniform and appropriate footwear.

   • Maintain professional body language and communication at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Position: Steward / Restaurant Steward

• Location: Thane West, Mumbai

• Experience: 1–3 years preferred; fine-dining experience is an advantage

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Good English/Hindi communication; Marathi is an advantage

• Presentable, energetic, and guest-oriented

• Basic knowledge of food & beverage service

• Willing to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Able to work efficiently during busy service periods

• It is a Full Time వెయిటర్ / స్టీవార్డ్ job for candidates with 6 months - 1 years of experience.
