Core Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Communication: Warmly welcome and seat guests, present menus, and offer recommendations based on dietary preferences or food allergies.

• Order Processing: Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to kitchen and bar staff, utilizing hotel POS systems.

• Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks, anticipate guest needs (such as refilling water or clearing plates), and handle all requests promptly.

• Billing: Prepare and deliver checks, process cash and credit card payments accurately, and return exact change or receipts.

• Hygiene & Upkeep: Set and reset tables, ensure dining areas are clean, and manage the breakdown of used dishware according to health and safety codes.

Hotel-Specific Duties

Unlike standard restaurants, hotel dining can branch into multiple areas, requiring versatile skills:

• In-Room Dining (Room Service): Delivering food trays or carts directly to guest rooms while maintaining high hospitality standards.

• Banquets & Events: Serving large groups during conferences, weddings, or hotel-hosted functions.

• Buffet Setup: Assisting with the arrangement, replenishment, and clearing of hotel breakfast or lunch buffets.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous experience as a waiter or server in a high-quality hospitality, resort, or dining establishment.

• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, a patient and friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.

• Physical Requirements: The stamina and endurance to stand and walk for long hours, and the physical ability to carry heavy trays.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
