POSITION OVERVIEW

We're hiring enthusiastic and professional Waiters to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you'll be the face of Basta, delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly at available tables

• Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our menu items, specials, and beverages

• Take accurate food and drink orders using our ordering system

• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff

• Serve food and beverages efficiently, following proper plating and presentation standards

• Check on guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns immediately

• Process payments and handle transactions accurately

• Clear tables promptly and reset them for the next guests

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining area

• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Support team members and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff

• Upsell menu items when appropriate and ensure guests feel valued

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous waiter/waitressing experience (1+ year preferred)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays

• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards

• Positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
