A Restaurant Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. They act as the main point of contact for customers throughout their visit and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables
Present menus, answer questions about items, and make recommendations
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner
Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
Process payments and handle cash or card transactions correctly
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to deliver seamless service
Upsell specials, add-ons, and promotional items when appropriate
