Restaurant Captain – Job Description (JD) Job Role
A Restaurant Captain (also called a service captain / Head Waiter) supervises the service team and ensures smooth restaurant operations while delivering excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise waiters, stewards, and service staff
Welcome guests and ensure proper seating
Take orders and coordinate with kitchen/bar
Ensure food is served on time and correctly
Handle customer complaints and feedback
Maintain hygiene, table setup, and service standards
Train and guide junior staff
Assist in billing and closing duties
Skills Required

Leadership and team management
Customer handling skills
Knowledge of food & beverage service
Problem-solving ability
Qualifications
12th pass or Hotel Management preferred
1–5 years experience in restaurant/hospitality
