Job Title: Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising the service staff, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and delivering an excellent dining experience to customers. The role acts as a bridge between guests, service staff, and the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide stewards and service staff during shifts

• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and service standards

• Greet and assist guests, take feedback, and handle basic complaints politely

• Coordinate with the kitchen for timely food service and order accuracy

• Ensure SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards are followed

• Manage shift rosters and ensure adequate staffing

• Support billing process and ensure smooth guest checkout

• Train new staff on service standards and restaurant processes

• Monitor stock usage for service items and report shortages

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a restaurant or QSR as a Captain or Senior Steward

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving ability

• Basic knowledge of POS systems

• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum 10+2 / Diploma / Graduate (preferred but not mandatory)
