ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and guest-focused Restaurant Captain to join our restaurant operations team at our Gurugram Sec 65 outlet.

The Restaurant Captain will be responsible for managing the assigned section, ensuring smooth service operations, coordinating with the service and kitchen teams, and delivering a consistently high-quality guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the assigned section and ensure smooth day-to-day service operations.

• Welcome and interact with guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.

• Take guest orders accurately and ensure timely communication with the kitchen and bar teams.

• Ensure food and beverages are served according to the restaurant's service standards.

• Monitor guest requirements throughout the dining experience.

• Handle guest queries, requests, and concerns professionally.

• Coordinate closely with the Kitchen, Bar, Hostess, and other service team members.

• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and readiness before and during service.

• Monitor order accuracy, timing, presentation, and overall service quality.

• Assist in briefing and coordinating service team members during shifts.

• Support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining operational standards.

• Ensure adherence to restaurant SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.

• Assist in handling guest feedback and escalate issues to the manager when required.

• Support opening and closing activities as assigned.

• Maintain high standards of grooming, discipline, and professional conduct.

• Contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience for guests.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of prior experience in a similar role within the restaurant, hospitality, hotel, or F&B industry is preferred.

• Prior experience as a Restaurant Captain / Senior Steward / Senior Restaurant Associate / F&B Service professional will be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of restaurant service operations and guest handling.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong customer-service orientation.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams.

• Good knowledge of table service and restaurant SOPs.

• Pleasant personality with professional grooming and presentation.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Ability to handle guest concerns calmly and professionally.
