Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain for our outlet. The candidate will be responsible for supervising floor operations, ensuring excellent guest service, and maintaining high standards of food presentation and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily restaurant floor operations and ensure smooth service.

• Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.

• Assist guests with menu selection, especially Indian dishes, and recommend specials.

• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order service.

• Handle guest complaints and ensure quick resolution to maintain satisfaction.

• Train, guide, and monitor stewards and service staff.

• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.

• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.

• Maintain knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and preparation styles.

• Collect guest feedback and report to management for improvement.

Requirements:

• 0–2 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain / Sr. Steward (preferably in Indian cuisine)

• Strong knowledge of Indian food (North Indian, Mughlai, Tandoor, etc.)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Leadership and team management abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Basic computer knowledge (POS systems)
