Job Description – Restaurant Captain

Position: Restaurant Captain
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Location: As Assigned
Salary: ₹19,000 – ₹21,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise daily restaurant operations, lead the service team, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and guest-handling skills while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the restaurant service team during shifts.

• Welcome guests, assist with seating, and ensure prompt, courteous service.

• Take and monitor food and beverage orders to ensure timely delivery.

• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Coordinate with the kitchen and cashier for smooth restaurant operations.

• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained.

• Train, guide, and motivate stewards and service staff.

• Monitor staff grooming, attendance, and service quality.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and food safety standards.

• Assist in billing, settlement, and daily closing procedures.

• Promote menu specials and upsell food and beverages to maximize revenue.

• Maintain stock of service equipment and report any shortages or damages.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward in a restaurant, hotel, or café.

• Knowledge of restaurant operations and service etiquette is essential.
