We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our bar/restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in hospitality management or a supervisory role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations, staff efficiency, and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily bar and restaurant operations to ensure efficient and smooth service
Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate front-of-house and bar staff
Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly address guest concerns or complaints
Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Handle cash management, POS operations, and end-of-shift reports
Support opening and closing procedures, including security and cleanliness
Collaborate with management to implement promotions, events, and service improvements.
Step in for the General Manager when required
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment, including supervisory or management responsibilities
Strong understanding of bar and restaurant operations, including service flow and staff coordination
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency with POS systems and basic reporting
Must be of legal age to work in a licensed establishment
Responsible alcohol service certification (preferred or required, depending on location).
