Key Responsibilities
1. Field Shooting & Storytelling Capture authentic, high-quality, emotionally resonant visuals across program sites Medical Emergency Support cases, Medicare camps, Saksham education initiatives, Green Period awareness drives, Solar Smiles installations, and beneficiary stories. Translate field realities into compelling visual narratives that move donors and inspire action.
2. Pre-Production Planning Coordinate with Program Heads, the Media Team, and Creative Lead to plan each shoot scouting field locations (rural Maharashtra villages, ZP schools, partner hospitals, community sites), assessing lighting conditions, securing necessary permissions and consent (especially for beneficiaries and minors), and aligning visual direction with the campaign's communication objective.
3. Post-Production Ownership Review and organize raw footage and stills, perform basic editing and color grading, and ensure the final output matches Pledge Foundation's brand identity and tone warm, dignified, hopeful, and authentic. Maintain an organized digital archive of all visual assets, categorized by program, date, and use case.
4. Equipment & Workflow Management Maintain and care for all camera, lighting, audio, and accessory equipment. Ensure batteries, memory cards, and backup systems are field-ready at all times. Manage shoot schedules, travel logistics, and timely delivery of edited assets to the Media and Fundraising teams.
5. Content Creation for Fundraising & Awareness Conceptualize and execute short-form videos, donor-facing reels, beneficiary testimonials, program documentaries, and social media content that reflect Pledge Foundation's mission combining real impact, human stories, and organizational credibility. Support telefundraising and CSR teams with visual collateral for donor pitches and proposals.
Additional NGO-Specific Responsibilities (Recommended Add-Ons)
Based on your sector, I'd suggest adding these they're specific to NGO videography work and protect both the organization and the photographer:
6. Ethical Storytelling & Consent Adhere strictly to Pledge Foundation's beneficiary consent and child protection protocols. Ensure all beneficiaries especially minors, patients, and vulnerable individuals give informed consent (written wherever possible) before being photographed or filmed. Avoid exploitative or "poverty porn" framing; portray beneficiaries with dignity at all times.
7. CSR & Donor Documentation Capture professional documentation of CSR site visits, donor engagements, partnership signings (MoUs), and on-ground program implementation for compliance reporting and donor relations.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the Media Team (Digital Content Executive, Visual Designer), Telefundraising, CSR, and Program teams to deliver visual assets aligned with each team's communication needs and campaign timelines.
