About The Civil Company

The Civil Company (TCC) is building a technology-driven platform for the construction, interior and home-improvement ecosystem. We are looking for a creative Video Editor who can help us build a strong presence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other social platforms.

What you’ll do:

• Edit engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos.

• Turn raw footage, ideas and scripts into polished, engaging videos.

• Add captions, text animations, transitions, sound effects and music where required.

• Understand short-form content trends, hooks and retention techniques.

• Create different editing styles depending on the content — educational, promotional, informative and trend-based.

• Work closely with the content/social media team to execute the content calendar.

• Repurpose long-form/raw footage into multiple short-form pieces.

• Maintain consistency with TCC’s visual identity and branding.

• Stay updated with current Instagram/Reels editing trends.

Requirements:

• Experience in editing short-form social media content.

• Good command of Premiere Pro / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut or similar tools.

• Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions and sound design.

• Creativity and attention to detail.

• Ability to understand a brief and independently execute the edit.

• Knowledge of current Instagram/Reels trends is a plus.

• Experience with construction, architecture, interiors or real-estate content will be an added advantage.

Someone who doesn't just know how to cut clips, but understands what makes a Reel watchable, engaging and shareable.
