We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to create engaging, high-quality videos that align with social media trends and journalistic standards. The ideal candidate excels in professional editing software and brings a creative storytelling approach to every project.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiently use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing tools to produce polished content.

• Leverage knowledge of social media trends and color grading (a plus) to make videos more engaging and interesting.

• Edit videos to targeted lengths and specifications, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth runtime.

• Handle and organize raw and edited video files efficiently.

• Export videos in appropriate formats and sizes for mobile and web distribution.

• Shoot video and produce content as necessary to support projects.

• Explore different versions and creative directions to optimize impact.

• Ensure all work complies with the highest journalistic standards.

• Create rough and final cuts, consulting with stakeholders from production through post-production.

• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating editing ability.

• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut).

• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity editing.

• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.

• Creative mind with excellent storytelling skills.
