Video Editor – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit raw footage into high-quality videos for social media, websites, ads, and campaigns

• Trim, cut, merge clips, and arrange sequences for smooth storytelling

• Add transitions, effects, motion graphics, and visual enhancements

2. Audio & Visual Enhancement

• Sync audio with video, remove noise, and improve sound quality

• Add background music, voiceovers, sound effects, and subtitles

• Color correction and basic color grading for professional output

3. Content Creation for Digital Platforms

• Create reels, shorts, YouTube videos, ads, and promotional content

• Optimize videos for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

• Follow platform-specific formats, ratios, and duration guidelines

4. Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, design, and content teams

• Understand brand guidelines and creative briefs

• Suggest creative ideas, visual styles, and improvements

5. File Management & Delivery

• Organize raw footage, project files, and exports

• Deliver final videos within deadlines

• Make revisions based on feedback

6. Tools & Software

• Use editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve

• Basic knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus

7. Quality Control

• Ensure videos are error-free, smooth, and visually appealing

• Maintain consistent branding and quality standards

• Knowledge of social media trends

• Ability to work under deadlines
