Job Title: Personal Loan & Overdraft (relationship officer)

Job Summary

Responsible for sourcing, processing, and managing personal loan and overdraft applications while achieving assigned business targets. The role involves customer acquisition, relationship management, document verification, coordination with credit and operations teams, and ensuring timely disbursement and portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate leads and acquire new customers for personal loans and overdraft facilities.

• Explain loan/OD products, eligibility criteria, interest rates, charges, and repayment terms to customers.

• Process loan applications and coordinate with credit, operations, and verification teams.

• Follow up on applications from login to sanction and disbursement.

• Maintain relationships with existing customers and identify cross-selling opportunities.

• Achieve monthly/quarterly targets for loan disbursement, OD limits, and customer acquisition.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of personal loans, overdraft facilities, and retail banking products.

• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

• Sales and lead-generation ability.

• Basic understanding of KYC, credit assessment, and banking processes.

• Good negotiation and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work with targets and deadlines.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and CRM systems.
