Position: Relationship Manager – Motor Insurance (Private & Commercial Vehicles)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, target-driven, and relationship-focused Relationship Manager to develop and expand our network of agents and vehicle dealers for Private and Commercial Motor Insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing insurance agents, automobile dealers, and channel partners while driving business growth through strong relationship management and business development.

The candidate should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and convincing skills to establish long-term partnerships and maximize insurance business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Agent & Dealer Acquisition

• Identify, approach, and onboard new insurance agents, automobile dealers, and channel partners dealing in private and commercial vehicles.

• Build and expand the company's distribution network across assigned territories.

• Present the company's insurance products, commission structure, and business opportunities to prospective partners.

• Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and new channel partners.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing agents, dealers, and business partners.

• Regularly communicate with partners to understand their requirements and provide prompt support.

• Motivate agents and dealers to prioritize and promote the company's motor insurance products.

• Resolve operational and service-related issues efficiently to ensure partner satisfaction.

Business Development

• Generate new business through agent and dealer acquisition.

• Increase motor insurance premium by expanding the active partner network.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claim support.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of agents and dealers.

• Identify opportunities to improve business productivity and partner engagement.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, partner activities, and business generated.

• Prepare regular MIS and business performance reports for management.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong convincing, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Target-oriented with a proactive sales approach.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.

• Ability to travel locally for meetings with agents and dealers.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

• Experience in Motor Insurance, General Insurance, BFSI, Sales, Relationship Management, or Channel Sales is preferred.

• Freshers with excellent communication skills and a willingness to build a career in insurance sales are also encouraged to apply.
