Admission Counsellor

The Admission Counselor serves as the primary guide for prospective students considering NMIMS Online programs, playing a critical role in driving student enrollments and shaping their educational journey. This position involves supporting applicants from initial inquiry through final admission, helping them make informed decisions and providing essential guidance at each step.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel and advise prospective students about NMIMS's online programs, admission requirements, and career outcomes using multiple channels such as phone, email, chat, and social media.

• Convert inquiries and leads into successful enrollments through active engagement and comprehensive consultation, ensuring that student needs and aspirations align with suitable offerings.

• Guide applicants through the entire admissions process: application form assistance, documentation verification, and final submission review.

• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and effective communication and issue resolution.

• Address student queries and complaints with patience, ensuring high-quality service, confidentiality, and a positive applicant experience.

• Continuously update knowledge about NMIMS's offerings, admission policies, and sector trends to provide current and relevant guidance.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or any related discipline; prior experience in admissions or academic counseling preferred.

• Good English communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate clearly and manage complex conversations.

• Familiarity with call center, CRM, and computer systems; willingness to learn new tools and adapt to evolving procedures.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.

• Experience in education sector sales, lead conversion, or customer service roles is highly valued.
