Job Title: Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician
Department: Service & Maintenance

Reports To: Service Manager / Service Engineer
Job Summary
The MHE Technician is responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at customer sites. The technician ensures maximum equipment uptime by providing timely, safe, and high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer relations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of MHE equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
Service electric forklifts, diesel forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks, stackers, order pickers, VNA trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
Inspect equipment and prepare service reports after every visit.
Carry out installation, commissioning, and testing of new machines.
Replace defective spare parts and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
Attend customer breakdown calls within the specified response time.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime.
Maintain service tools and equipment in good working condition.
Coordinate with the spare parts department for parts availability.
Provide technical guidance and basic operator training to customers.
Ensure proper documentation, including job cards, inspection reports, and service checklists.
Maintain good customer relationships through professional service.
Comply with company safety policies and customer site safety regulations.
Report recurring technical issues to the Service Manager.
Educational Qualification
ITI (Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Automobile)
Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or Mechatronics (Preferred)
Experience
1–5 years of experience in servicing Material Handling Equipment.
Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also apply.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
