Job Description – Field Technician

Position: Field Technician – Electronics
Department: Field Operations / Technical
Location: Multiple Locations / As per project requirement

Reporting To: Field Engineer / Regional Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Field Technician to handle installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of electronic and electrical equipment at customer/project sites.

The candidate will work on electronic systems, IoT devices, monitoring systems, controllers, sensors, communication equipment, and AI/technology-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission electronic and electrical equipment at field locations.

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of equipment.

• Handle wiring, connections, sensors, controllers, SMPS, DC systems, and related components.

• Configure and check devices as per technical requirements.

• Identify hardware, power supply, communication, and connectivity issues.

• Visit customer/project sites for installation and maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with the SOC, R&D, QC, and technical teams for issue resolution.

• Maintain proper installation and service reports.

• Attend customer complaints and resolve technical issues within the defined timeline.

• Ensure proper handling and safety of company equipment and tools.

• Follow company safety and technical procedures.

• Travel to different sites as per business/project requirements.

For Freshers

Freshers with a Diploma/ITI/B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, or a related field can apply.

Candidates should have:

• Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.

• Basic understanding of wiring and circuits.

• Interest in field technical work.

• Good learning and troubleshooting ability.

• Willingness to travel.

For Experienced Candidates

Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in field service, electronics, telecom, electrical, IoT, CCTV, networking, or equipment installation will be preferred.

Qualification

• ITI – Electronics/Electrician

• Diploma – Electronics/Electrical/Telecom

• B.Tech/B.E. – Electronics/Electrical/Telecom/Instrumentation

• Relevant technical qualification

Required Skills

• Basic troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of electronic components
