Technician

JOB OVERVIEW

• We are seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to handle the end-to-end installation, configuration, and maintenance of electronic security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring, IP-based networking, and integrated security platforms.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• CCTV System Installation & Maintenance

  • Installation: Mount and position cameras (IP & Analog) in optimal locations for maximum coverage.

  • Configuration: Setup and program Recording Devices (DVRs/NVRs) and Video Management Software (VMS).

  • Networking: Perform IP address assignment, router setup, and configure remote viewing on mobile/PC devices.

  • Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and firmware updates to ensure system uptime.

• Intercom & Communication Systems

  • Deployment: Install indoor and outdoor intercom stations, including Video Door Phones (VDP) and master stations.

  • Wiring: Run and terminate low-voltage cabling such as Cat5e and Cat6 through conduits, casing patti, or false ceilings.

  • System Testing: Verify clear audio/video quality and test electronic door release functions.

• Access Control Systems (ACS)

  • Hardware Setup: Install and configure controllers, card readers, biometric scanners (Fingerprint/Face Recognition), and electronic locks (magnetic locks, strikes).

  • Programming: Assign user credentials and manage access permissions via software databases.

  • Integration: Sync ACS with CCTV and alarm systems for comprehensive security.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Minimum High School diploma; ITI or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Telecommunications is strongly preferred.

• Experience: 1–4 years of field experience in security system installation.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cable laying, RJ-45 crimping, and electrical wiring.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.

  • Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, subnetting).

• Physical: Ability to work on ladders, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather.

• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and professional communication for client training.
