Rework Engineer / Technician – Soldering & De-Soldering
A Soldering & Desoldering Rework Engineer/Technician specializes in repairing, modifying, and assembling complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) by hand-soldering or using hot-air tools. Key responsibilities include IPC-standard SMD/through-hole component replacement, troubleshooting, and micro-soldering under microscopes, requiring high manual dexterity and technical knowledge of electronics.
Key Responsibilities
· Component Replacement:
Perform precise soldering and disordering of SMDs (Surface Mount Devices), QFNs, Dual Inline Package (DIP) and BGA (Ball Grid Array) components using soldering stations, hot air guns, and microscopes.
· PCB Rework & Repair:
Modify electronic circuit boards, replace faulty components, and repair damaged traces based on schematics and technical instructions.
· Quality Inspection:
Inspect solder joints (IPC-A-610 standards) for defects and perform functional tests to ensure board reliability.
· Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve board-level issues, assisting in root cause analysis.
· Documentation:
Maintain repair logs, update, and track documentation for reworked products.
· Safety Compliance:
Ensure strict Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: SSLC / ITI / Diploma in Electronics or a related field
Experience: Fresher or experienced candidates with exposure to PCB assembly, rework, or electronic repair
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hand-soldering and rework techniques
Ability to read and understand schematics and PCB layouts
Physical Skills:
Excellent hand-eye coordination for handling fine-pitch components
Compensation: ₹1,80,000 – ₹2,40,000 per annum
Preference: Female candidates preferred
Work Location: Peenya, Bangalore
