Field Technician – Network Field: Key Responsibilities
A Network Field Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure at customer or field locations.
Key Responsibilities
Network Installation
Install and configure routers, switches, access points, modems, firewalls, and other network equipment.
Perform rack installation, equipment mounting, and structured cabling.
Configure and test LAN/WAN connections.
On-Site Support
Visit customer/field locations to resolve network incidents.
Coordinate with NOC, network engineers, ISPs, and other technical teams.
Provide hands-on support for remote configuration and troubleshooting.
Respond to emergency/outage calls according to SLA requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical, fiber-optic, workplace, and site safety procedures.
Follow company standards and change-management procedures.
