Job Description – RF Field Engineer (English)
Job Overview
An RF (Radio Frequency) Field Engineer is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining RF equipment and wireless communication networks. The role requires fieldwork, site visits, and coordination with technicians to ensure seamless network performance and service delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties
Analyze and monitor wireless network KPIs.
Install, test, clean, and pack RF equipment at field/customer sites.
Ensure RF test equipment is properly calibrated to industry standards.
Travel to customer locations and BTS/tower field sites.
Use computer software/tools to design and configure RF installations for new wireless networks.
Troubleshoot and resolve RF and network-related issues.
Coordinate with field technicians (technicians climb towers for equipment work, while engineers operate and configure from the ground using a laptop).
In situations where a technician is not available, the engineer should also be capable of handling technician tasks.
Qualification
Diploma / BE in Electronics & Communication (EC), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), or any relevant field.
Freshers can also apply (training will be provided).
Experience
Minimum 2 years of RF field experience required for experienced candidates.
Freshers are welcome – training will be provided with stipend.
Training & Stipend (For Freshers)
Training Period: 2 months
Stipend: ₹8,000 per month (₹8,000 for 1st month + ₹8,000 for 2nd month).
From the 3rd month onwards: Salary will be performance-based.
Key Skills & Requirements
Strong knowledge of Radwin, Cambium, and RF networks (preferred).
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues.
Proficiency in using laptops and RF/network software tools.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Laptop and bike are mandatory.
Should be flexible for field travel and site work.
