FIBER TECHNICIAN -
Responsibilities
Installation: Install fiber optic cabling and systems for internet, voice, and video services.
Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on fiber networks and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Splicing & Termination: Efficiently splice and terminate fiber optic cables to connect and repair systems.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Use specialized equipment to test fiber networks, identify faults, and diagnose issues.
Documentation: Accurately document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities for record-keeping.
Safety: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and codal provisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members on installation projects.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers, answer their questions, and provide technical support.

Technical Skills: Proficient in fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
