Fiber Technician

Perform FTTH fiber installation and commissioning at customer premises.

Install and configure ONT/ONU, Wi-Fi routers, Optical Network Terminals, and related devices.

Perform fiber splicing, termination, jointing, and connectorization as required.

Conduct OTDR testing, power-level testing, and fiber continuity checks.

Identify and troubleshoot fiber cuts, signal loss, attenuation, and connectivity issues.

Ensure proper routing, dressing, and installation of fiber cables as per company standards.

Configure customer-premises equipment and ensure internet/Wi-Fi connectivity is working properly.

Attend customer complaints and service requests related to FTTH connectivity and network performance.

Coordinate with Network Operations, Field Engineers, contractors, and service teams for issue resolution.

Complete assigned installations and service requests within defined TAT/SLA.

Update installation, troubleshooting, and closure details in the required mobile application/system.

Maintain installation tools, testing equipment, and network materials.

Follow all safety, quality, and installation SOPs during field operations.

Conduct post-installation checks and explain basic equipment/Wi-Fi usage to customers.

Maintain proper documentation of fiber routes, connections, equipment, and service activities.
