Position Title: Electronics Assembly Technician
The Electronics Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing electronic components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
Perform electronic assembly operations including soldering (through-hole and SMT), wiring, and mechanical assembly.
Assemble PCBs, sub-assemblies, and finished electronic products as per drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documents.
Conduct visual inspection and basic functional testing of assembled units.
Identify, report, and assist in rectifying assembly defects or non-conformances.
Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards.
Maintain proper documentation for assembly, testing, and quality checks.
Support rework, repair, and modification activities when required.
Coordinate with quality and engineering teams for continuous improvement.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area as per 5S standards.
Diploma / ITI
1–5 years of experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing
Good knowledge of electronic components and PCB assembly processes.
Hands-on experience in soldering and use of assembly tools.
Familiarity with ESD practices and quality standards.
Ability to follow instructions and meet production timelines.
Basic knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters (preferred).
Experience in SMT/THT assembly lines.
